Human Zoo Mentality

The nature of agriculture does not admit so many subdivisions of labor.
So if we want to subsidize people in third world countries to stay in agriculture... This is not very politically correct, let me warn you.

What worries me is that we have a kind of human zoo mentality. I'd like to be able to go and visit the happy, well payed workers in their coffee plantations in the mountains of Colombia, rather than thinking of them working in jobs where they earn enough money to send their kids to school, because in my mind, this is the tradional occupation and this is what people should do
